Cryptocurrency is it a "scam"...?

Cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual form of currency that uses cryptography for security. Different blockchains (ETH, BTC, SOL, etc.) utilize unique consensus mechanisms. These mechanisms typically fall into three categories: Proof of Stake (PoS), Proof of Authority (PoA), or Zero Knowledge (ZKP).

In simpler terms, these are methods used to validate transactions and ensure that a transaction is legitimate before it gets logged in the blockchain's ledger.

Traditional finance is slower due to its centralized process involving multiple intermediaries that each perform verification checks. Blockchain technology, by contrast, uses a decentralized network where transactions are verified in real-time through consensus mechanisms, allowing for faster and more efficient processing.

Blockchain technology is not a scam; it's innovative technology that will help us scale, particularly in areas like supply chain management or anywhere transaction records are crucial. However, the "token" you're buying now in 2025 may have limited longevity. This is just my personal opinion.

If you're looking to dive into memecoins as quickly as possible, I would recommend a hardware wallet and setting up with either Rabby (for ETH) or Solflare (for SOL) to interact with the blockchain of your choice. This is where most of the fun is happening, and it's also an open market where you should be highly vigilant and "do your own research" (DYOR) before purchasing.
